Overview — The Short Version
AirDrive Desktop is a one-time purchase desktop utility for transferring files over your local network without requiring the receiving device to install any software. These Terms and this Privacy Policy govern your use of the application and this website.
License & Ownership
What you are buying
Upon purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, irrevocable lifetime license to install and use AirDrive Desktop on any computers you personally own or control. "Lifetime" means the product continues to work indefinitely — there is no subscription, no annual renewal, and no feature paywall.
What we retain
All intellectual property rights, including source code, interface designs, brand assets, and documentation, remain exclusively owned by the developer. This license grants you the right to use the software, not to copy, resell, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute it.
Number of devices
A single license covers all computers you personally own. It is not a site license and may not be shared across an organisation without a separate business agreement.

Eligibility
- Request must be made within 7 days of purchase date.
- Refund request must be sent to airdriveteam@hotmail.com from the email used at checkout.
- You do not need to provide a reason. We may ask for feedback voluntarily.
What we will not refund
- Requests made after 7 days from the original purchase date.
- Purchases made in bad faith (e.g., requesting a refund after distributing the software).
Refunds are processed within 5 business days and returned to the original payment method.
Prohibited Uses
By using AirDrive Desktop, you agree not to:
- Use the software to share, distribute, or receive any content that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to copyrighted material you do not own, malware, or unlawful data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software in any form.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the software or any derived product.
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or licence notices within the application.
- Use the software on behalf of a third party without a separate business license.
- Use the software to circumvent security measures on networks you are not authorised to access.
Limitation of Liability
No warranty on network compatibility
AirDrive Desktop relies on your local network infrastructure (router configuration, firewall rules, OS permissions). We cannot guarantee it will function on every network configuration. Incompatibility with your specific router, VPN, or firewall is not a defect in the software — it is a configuration constraint. The 7-day refund policy covers such cases.
Software is provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AirDrive Desktop is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Cap on damages
In no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profit — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the software, even if the developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the license (USD $6.99 or the then-current price at time of purchase).
Software Updates & Maintenance
Your lifetime license includes all v1.x updates. Updates are delivered at the developer's discretion and may include bug fixes, OS compatibility patches, and performance improvements. We commit to a bi-annual maintenance cycle to ensure compatibility with current major OS versions.
We reserve the right to deprecate v1.x features in a future major version (v2.0+), which may be offered as a separate discounted upgrade. No v2.x features are promised under a v1.x license.
Data We Collect — and Don't
The desktop application
AirDrive Desktop does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- File names, types, sizes, or contents of anything you transfer.
- Your IP address, MAC address, or any device identifier.
- Usage frequency, session duration, or feature interaction data.
- Any crash reports or error logs sent off-device.
- Your name, location, or any personal identifiers.
This marketing website
The website (airdrive.app) is a static page hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect anonymised request-level metadata (e.g., IP address, browser type, referring page) for routing and abuse prevention purposes. This is governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any other behavioural tracking scripts on this site.
Local-Only Transfer Architecture
All file transfers performed through AirDrive Desktop occur exclusively between the desktop device running the application and the receiving device's web browser, over your local area network (LAN) or a direct hotspot connection. Specifically:
- Files are never uploaded to our servers. There are no AirDrive servers in the file path — not even as a relay.
- No cloud intermediary. Unlike services such as WeTransfer or Google Drive, files travel peer-to-peer across your physical network only.
- Session PINs stay local. The 4-digit session PIN is generated locally on your machine and is only visible to devices on your same network.
- Transfer URLs are local. The download link generated (e.g.
192.168.x.x:PORT) is only accessible within your network. It is not a public URL.
Contact & Support Data
When you contact us for support or a refund via email (airdriveteam@hotmail.com), we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this solely to:
- Respond to your support enquiry.
- Process a refund request.
We do not add you to any marketing list, sell your email to any third party, or retain your message beyond the resolution of your issue. You can request deletion of any support correspondence at any time by emailing us.
Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used and their respective privacy terms apply:
- Vercel — Website hosting. May log anonymised request data. See their Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — Used to load the Inter typeface on this website. Google may log font request metadata. See Google Fonts terms.
- Payment Processor — Purchase transactions are handled by the third-party payment platform at checkout. We do not store your card or payment details. See the payment processor's own privacy policy at point of purchase.
The desktop application itself does not contact any third-party service.
Children's Privacy
AirDrive Desktop is not directed at or intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and this Privacy Policy are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or related to your use of AirDrive Desktop that cannot be resolved informally by email shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at airdriveteam@hotmail.com to attempt an informal resolution. Most concerns can be resolved quickly — including refunds — without the need for legal action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update these Terms and Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the product's update notes or on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the software after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
The version of this policy that applied at the time of your original purchase governs the terms of your license. We will not retroactively remove any rights you purchased under a prior version.
